It was fun! Not the easiest to find on your first trip to Hoian Old Town. Just keep asking people and you’ll get there eventually. It was a private tour and nice having the boat to ourselves. Lighting and floating the lanterns is fun.

The host went over and above to make it a beautiful experience for us. He put so much effort to make our ride extra special with a special cake and decorations. Amazing!

We took the 6pm boat ride on 8 Sep 2025. It was the right time to see the many lights at night. But if u prefer to watch the sunset, perhaps the 5pm ride would be better. It was drizzling a bit and was a cool and excellent time for the boat ride. Our boat captain was super attentive, diligent at his job and very knowledgeable about taking the best photos, angles, backdrops. You can be rest assured for having wonderful photos, a nice, safe and peaceful experience. You get to light and place the lantern into the water at 2 different locations. Don't forget to make a wish before you release the lantern. Highly recommended 45min experience for couples!

The boat driver was awesome, very helpful keen and was welcoming. He took beautiful photos of us from our own phones and was very kind

Easy to find and Captain guided us for all the photos. Was a crowded scene so was glad For direction! Wonderful watching all the boats at night!

View was amazing. The captain kept stopping the boat to take photos of us in the best places. There was only 2 of us on the boat and it was just gorgeous.

our captain was nice and funny, helped us with iur poses for our photos, smooth ride and had free beers. Only con was finding our driver due to heaps of other boats and captains there but eventually found him with our name on a board. Overall great experience.

So good we had lots of laughs with our captain. Recommend this well worth the price. We got to light a few lanterns with amazing photos taken.
